How to incorporate CBD into your wellness routine

If you’re new to CBD, the endless amount of options can be VERY overwhelming. Each form of CBD has its own unique characteristics that can help boost our overall wellness depending on where our bodies need support.

I have used CBD consistently since 2020 (and have used cannabis for a LOT longer than that) and I want to share some of the best ways to incorporate CBD into your daily lifestyle to support your mental and physical wellness.

Daily management of anxiety

I have experienced anxiety for as long as I can remember and over the past few years I’ve built a pretty solid routine to help me process and move through it. I take CBD every morning and within about an hour I feel a wave of just… relief. It’s like the feeling after you take a few really deep breaths and relax your shoulders (go ahead and just do that for a minute 😉).

Help falling asleep and STAYING asleep

I can’t even begin to tell you how many nights I’ve spent laying there WIDE awake for hours. I often found it hard to fall asleep with my thoughts racing and once I actually did fall asleep, I would likely wake up in the middle of the night (sometimes for the rest of the night). I try to maintain a lifestyle that promotes healthy sleep (I don’t drink alcohol, I stick to a pretty consistent sleep schedule, I have good bedding and sleep in a dark, cool room, etc.). But, sometimes I need additional support and that’s where CBD comes in. When I take a larger serving of CBD at night (about an hour before bed), I am able to fall asleep quickly and stay asleep through the whole night! It’s truly been life-changing to wake up feeling rested and ready to roll.

As with most things, we see the biggest benefits from CBD when we use it CONSISTENTLY over time. Personally, no matter which form I use, CBD plays a major role in helping me feel my best both physically and mentally. While CBD is definitely not a cure-all, it can provide a wide variety of benefits to those dealing with mood imbalances, sleep issues and chronic pain. Everybody is different and it could take some time to figure out what works best for you.
